Each year, more and more hard-working families join the ranks of the uninsured. The time for change is now and you can help. It's Time to Get Ready for Back-to-SchoolEvents and activities will be held across the country to help connect families with low-cost or free health care coverage as part of the ninth annual Back-to-School Campaign. Get involved by planning an enrollment event, conducting outreach through your local school, or distributing free materials to uninsured individuals and families. Planning guides and communications team staff are available to help. Together, we can continue to get kids the coverage they need. Free School Supply Kits!Fifty FREE Back-to-School supply kits will be available to the first 250 event planners who register their enrollment events. Each school supply kit is designed to fit into a student's three-ring binder and includes two pencils, an eraser, and a plastic ruler. Supplies are limited, register your event today! New Study Shows Americans' Access to Medical Care DeterioratesThe number and proportion of Americans reporting going without or delaying needed medical care increased sharply between 2003 and 2007; according to findings from the Center for Studying Health System Change, access deteriorated for both insured and uninsured people.
